BEE VIEW

Positioned on the edge of a gently sloping meadow, the Bee View House takes advantage of the site's southern orientation with long hilltop views beyond. One enters the house under a low wood-clad ceiling which becomes the organizing spine of the house dividing the larger public spaces on the south from private rooms and bedrooms to the north.

The major public rooms, including indoor and outdoor living areas, are sheltered by a continuous shed roof pitched similar to the slope of the landscape. North light from high windows balances the light from larger view windows looking south.

A few steps below and to the south one finds a lap pool anchored by a small outdoor pavilion housing shade for outdoor seating, bathroom and pool storage.
